Alma Selvagem is a boutique travel agency rooted in the heart of the Amazon.
We create intimate, nature-immersive journeys for travelers who seek depth over distance and connection over checklists.
Our experiences are shaped by river life, forest rhythms, local knowledge, and real encounters with the living landscape.
Working closely with local communities and small-scale partners, we design travel that is ethical, culturally respectful, and positively impactful — where the local economy benefits and nature is treated as home, not a backdrop.
Alma Selvagem is for the curious, the conscious, and the wild-hearted — for those who want to feel the real nature, not just see it.
This agency was funded by Ka and Annalisa, a Brazilian-Italian couple who have worked for more than 15 years in the tourism industry in Brazil.
Ka is a bird-watching guide, native to the region of the Javari River. He has spent the past 17 years guiding birders and wildlife lovers in one of the most remote regions of the Amazon Rainforest. He has led research expeditions and has discovered the presence of at least two bird species in the Javari region. Ka is passionate about wildlife photography, football and tree climbing. His favourite animal is the Ocelot.
Annalisa is an Italian wildlife photographer who has lived in South America since 2023. From her arrival on this continent, she has worked with eco-lodges, tour agencies, and conservation NGOs, providing creative support to a wide range of operations. She has worked in the Cerrado, Amazon and Pantanal regions of Brazil. She speaks four languages, and her favourite animal is the Bald Uacari.
